Bo Derek (conceived Mary Cathleen Collins; November 20, 1956) is an American film and TV entertainer, film maker, and model maybe most popular for her advancement film job in the sex satire 10 (1979). She was coordinated by spouse John Derek in Fantasies, Tarzan, the Ape Man (both 1981), Bolero (1984) and Ghosts Can't Do It (1989), all of which got negative surveys. A widow since 1998, she lives with entertainer John Corbett. Presently in semi-retirement, she makes periodic film, TV, and narrative appearances. 

Derek was conceived Mary Cathleen Collins in Long Beach, California. Her dad, Paul Collins, was a Hobie Cat leader, and her mom, Norma (née White), was a make-up craftsman and stylist to Ann-Margret. Collins' folks separated, and her mom wedded American trick entertainer Bobby Bass. 

A pony sweetheart and riding aficionado since adolescence, Derek possesses Andalusian ponies and is a representative for the Animal Welfare Institute's battle to end horse butcher through section of government and state enactment. On February 5, 2002, she distributed her personal history entitled Riding Lessons: Everything That Matters in Life I Learned from Horses (ISBN 0-06-039437-4). She serves on the California Horse Racing Board. 

Injured veterans advocate 

Derek is a national privileged director for Veterans Affairs' National Rehabilitation Special Events. She went to the seventeenth yearly Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic in Snowmass Village, Colorado. In 2003 she got the VA's most noteworthy respect from Secretary of Veterans Affairs, Anthony Principi. Derek shows up on United Service Organizations visits. The Special Forces Association named her a privileged Green Beret.

Derek's dad, Paul Collins, was a radio administrator during the Korean war. Both her stepfather and late spouse, John Derek, were veterans.

John and Bo moved to Germany and came back to the United States not long after Bo's eighteenth birthday celebration; they wedded in 1976 and remained so until his passing from cardiovascular breakdown in 1998.

Since 2002, she has been associated with entertainer John Corbett.(citation needed) She keeps on living in California with her sister, brother by marriage, and their two children.
